AlexKUSA says...You should update the information at the bottom of this page for the ideology changes in BNW.Admin: Thanks for the suggestion. I had to take a break to work on my Sims project but will come back to this as soon as I'm done and have put a note on my desktop to check into updating this. Reply Flag 0 22nd October 2013 2:47pmSivfan says...Great guide. Please keep this up. I feel you should include the fact that great artists, musicians and writers are in a different pool than engineers, merchants and scientists when it come to increasing costs to generate. I think all the culture great people are in their own seperate pools and GE, GM and GS are in another. So for example, producing a GE will increase the cost of the next GE, GM or GS but not of for the GA. I'm not too clear for the rules for GA, GMu and GW, as I have not been keeping track of them, I think they each have their own pools though. Let me know which it is since it is rather confusing.Admin: Good point. I'll make sure to mention these things soon. Reply Flag 0 27th December 2013 1:19amScrep says...Hey Carl, I was wondering what you consider as being mid-game and late-game. Thx.Admin: Mid-game would begin around the Renaissance era. Late-game is up toward Atomic/Information as those techs have much higher cost and Civs will branch out on different paths more due to that factor. Reply Flag 0 17th February 2014 2:36pmPage 1 of 1

You send a musician on the target nation's territory, use the 'concert tour' option, and your tourism against that civ is increased by a large amount and your tourism against other civs is increased by a smaller yet still useful amount. Very good when going for a cultural victory, to gain up on that one guy who has a resilient culture. Trading great works in a diplomatic manner would've been nice, as well as a larger pool of great works so they wouldn't run out. The current trading system is rather poor, one just swaps around works to minmax theming bonuses with no real interaction. Changing placement of great works

After we have generated great works, they are housed in a near city automatically. After this, you can transfer them between cities and buildings. This transfer lets us earn theming bonus that I’ve described below.

Great Writers are primarily generated through the Writer's Guild National Wonder which gives +1 GPP toward a Great Writer. With its two slots filled, this comes to ..Swapping great works with other civilizationsProduct tags 25 Aug 2016 .. Why does artist guild unlock at medieval era but there are no great work of art slot buildings until industrial? Makes no sense.RELATED POST

Cannot Create Great Work of Art even though I have space

Joined: Jul 10, 2013 Messages: 116 Location: Ontario, Canada I'm experiencing a strange conundrum where I have several available Great Art slots, but when I go to use my Great Artist to create the great work, the option to do so has mysteriously disappeared. Now the only option that I can see is to start a Golden Age. Is this some kind of bug or is there a limit to how many Great Works of Art I can create? My game is in the year 2044 (yeah, culture victory is taking forever) and I've researched the Internet. I'm kind of confused here, anyone else that's had this happen to them, or do I not understand something? Selereth , Jul 13, 2013 #1

Joined: Jun 22, 2012 Messages: 653 All the works of art have been made. You're screwed. There's a set limit. Go take a look at the list. Great Works don't recycle and Firaxis being ever so brilliant, decided only to give us a teeny weeny amount of great works that don't fairly represent the world. I mean at this point it's just blatant propaganda. How many times do I have to look at that work that comes with Parthenon... ptoss1 , Jul 13, 2013 #2

You can trade one-for-one - another lapse, not including an option to trade diplomatically. If someone else has dug up a surplus of artifacts (and the AI loves its archaeologist spam), there's no way for you to obtain new ones from them. You can swap some for others that better suit your theming bonuses, but you can't fill up any new museums. PhilBowles , Jul 14, 2013 #7

In the game I'm playing now, I loaded a huge map with 22 civs so we ran out fairly early and I've excavated everything I can find in unclaimed territory so my route to a culture win got a lot rockier. Oh well, concerts and treatises from here on out--oh, and keep the golden ages coming, I guess. www.helmling.com Slingshot , Boomerang , and Arrow now available on Kindle. Helmling , Jul 14, 2013 #12
