A fifth casino in the state of Maryland is set to open up at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

According to PokerAtlas, Horseshoe Baltimore’s poker room brings the total number of casino poker tables in the region to 135. The Baltimore area can access a 50-table poker room at Hollywood Casino Charles Town Races (Eastern Panhandle, WV), a 52-table poker room at Maryland Live! Casino (in Hanover) and an eight-table poker room at Hollywood Casino Perryville.
All of the aforementioned poker rooms came into existence in 2010 or later, so the region has seen a huge boom in live casino poker options over recent years.
In addition, a 20,000-square-foot Baltimore Marketplace featuring the city’s authentic food outlets, three restaurants and several bars and lounges will be available to visitors.
Construction on the casino actually moved ahead of schedule. Construction began around this time in 2013, so the huge, two-level casino took roughly a year to build.
