Ram Slots A1 A2 B1 B2

Hi, i believe the issue here is slot distribution. It appears that you had left the original installed memory in the same slots as they were installed previously. To run this configuration in 'Optimizer Mode' you would want to install all of your DIMMS in order of slot in matching pairs. So for example, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6; and then B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6 while also making sure you are matching pairs. So what spec you install in A1, you will match in B1. You are correct in thinking that the speed will clock down to due to the mixing of slower memory with faster speed memory, but installing the DIMMS in this manner should get rid of the error message you are seeing during the post process.

I have a question about the ram slots, I got 4 ram slots and beside slot 1 its says: DIMMA1, beside slot 2: DIMMB1, Slot 3: DIMMA2 and slot 4: DIMMB2. So my question is: Shall i put the rams in. I am using a X58A-UD3R MOBO using Triple Channel mode. The 3 RAM sticks are Corsairs mentioned above and are DDR3 compatible as with my MOBO, currently located on: A1 A2 B1 B2 C1 C2 (the white slots) RAM in the A1 A2 B1 B2 C1 C2 setup (the blue slots) prevents my system from booting. I will run Memtest. Will post back later with results.
